466 million people around the world live with hearing disabilities and rely on captions while watching movies. Yet, in the 50 years since its introduction, captioning hasn’t really evolved much.
So FCB Chicago, in partnership with Rakish Entertainment, created Caption With Intention—a dynamic captioning system designed to better convey the magic of cinema for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing communities.
The project was recognized by the Oscars and helped the field of captioning win an Academy Award of Merit.
